Warranty

At Ecosium, our commitment to our customers is paramount. We design and build our products keeping your needs in mind, utilising only superior quality materials that align with our core principles. Our focus is to ensure you enjoy your furniture, knowing that if something goes wrong, you're protected by the Ecosium Warranty.

What does the Ecosium Warranty cover?

The Ecosium Warranty safeguards you by offering replacement or repair of any product that has a manufacturing or material defect, not resulting from regular wear and tear or inherent characteristics of the material. Our warranty applies when our product is used as intended, in its normal application, and following our recommended care and usage guidelines.

This warranty is personal and exclusive to you, the original buyer. It is non-transferable and is valid only while you reside in Australia. The Ecosium warranty commences on the date you receive your product and lasts for 5 years.

What isn't covered by the Ecosium Warranty?

The Ecosium Warranty does not cover:

  • Regular wear and tear, including but not limited to minor fading, staining, discoloration
  • Inherent traits of the product or material
  • Environmental factors beyond Ecosium's control that may damage or disrupt the product's functionality, including but not limited to extreme humidity, heat, cold, or direct sunlight
  • Instances where indoor-designed products are placed or used outdoors
  • Natural variations or traits in materials, including but not limited to color differences, timber grain and features, minor gaps, variations in staining and/or finishing processes
  • Damage resulting from misuse (such as damage caused by pets), cleaning, maintenance, storage, or your actions or neglect
  • Damage caused by alterations, modifications to the product, or using the product in an unusual way or not as intended
  • Products used for commercial purposes
  • Any products sold as seconds, returned items, or similar, or where the defect was disclosed to the customer at the time of purchase
  • Any consequential or incidental damage

How to make a claim?

If you need to make a claim, please contact us on (03) 9015 4055 or send us an email to hello@ecosium.com.au. We will need the following information from you:

  • Details of the fault
  • Proof of purchase
  • Clear images of the fault

We are committed to reviewing your claim promptly. If we determine that your claim is valid, we will either repair or replace (as necessary) your product. If your item is discontinued or unavailable, we may choose to replace your original product with a similar alternative.

The warranty is valid from the date you receive your product and does not restart from the date of any replacement or repair. The replaced or repaired product will continue to be covered for the remaining original warranty period.

Consumer Guarantees

The benefits provided under the Ecosium warranty are in addition to the rights and remedies of a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
